Yandex says to raise payments to white hat hackers 150% in 2023
MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Yandex will increase payments to white hat hackers for uncovered vulnerabilities in its products and infrastructure by 150% to100 million rubles in 2023, the Internet company said on Thursday in a statement.
“The program helps us strengthen protection of services constantly and mend the found errors fast. Yandex will continue to reward the participants if total payments exceed 100 million rubles,” the company said.
Yandex has already paid 35.5 million rubles to the vulnerability bounty hunters in 2023. Remuneration depends on the importance of vulnerability, simplicity of its use and impact on user data.
In 2022, the total payment amounted to 39.7 million rubles.
